The LaRocca Story !!

The LaRocca Luxury Cigar Brand was created by Tommy LaRocca out of his passion for Cigars and to Honor his Great Grandfather Gerlando La Rocca who left Sicily, Italy in 1902 and sailed to Ellis Island settling in Brooklyn, New York in search of Personal Freedom, Economic Opportunity and a future of Hope of a better life for his Family …  

Gerlando established a Tobacco / Candy Store & Barber Shop along with owning an apartment building in Brooklyn, New York. He sent for his Father Giuseppe La Rocca, his Brother Francesco " Frank " La Rocca who was an early pioneer Builder of housing developments and his Childhood Sweetheart Filippa Conti in 1904 who he married in Italy they had 11 children together !!

The name once in America was changed to LaRocca and now just three generations later his great grandson Thomas “ Tommy “ LaRocca has the opportunity to follow his passion and create the LAROCCA collection  ...

Tommy started smoking Cigars back in 1989 with his Father Phillip " Phil " LaRocca while playing Golf along with other activities they have shared the Passion of Smoking Cigars together for over 30 years and still meet weekly to enjoy a Luxury Cigar ... 

His Grandfather Salvatore " Sal " LaRocca opened a Barber Shop in New York and the " Famed " Fontainebleau Miami Beach in the early 1960's .. 

His Father Phil served in the United States Air Force and had a 35 year career in the FAA first as an Air Traffic Controller then later in the Federal Headquarters Building in Washington D.C. working on Air Defense of our Nation until he retired to Florida in 2002 ... 

With his Mom, Dad, Stepdad and Grandparents on his Mothers side Tommy was able to follow his passions in life becoming a Banker for over 30 years and eventually opening a Cigar Lounge in Tampa, Florida and now his own Lifestyle Luxury Brand known as " the LAROCCA collection " with its first Luxury item Cigars   !!
